Watermelon Pillow

Watermelon Pillow

I thought I would try tpo be clever and take the name of a "watermelon" a little too literally and make it an actual WATERmelon. Get it? Because its in the shape of a raindrop! With summer just around the corner, what a fun accessory to have around the house! Here are the basic instructions on how to create your own, pretty quick and easy :)

This project was used all with Lion Brand Yarn!

This is worked in continuous rounds. It's not a necessity, but it's good to know how to do an Invisible Decrease to make the pillow look cleaner!

Materials: 9mm hook

Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick and Quick

Polyester fiber fill

Scissors

Yarn needle

Abbreviations: sc = single crochet

mr = magic ring

inc = increase (2 sc in next stitch)

dec = decrease (sc 2 together)

Begin in Green

Rnd 1: Sc 6 into Magic Ring (6)

Rnd 2: [Inc] around (12)

Rnd 3: [Sc, Inc] around (18)

Rnd 4: [Sc 2, Inc] around (24)

Rnd 27: [Sc, dec] around (12)

Rnd 28-29: Sc around (12)

Finish off and sew shut!

Now, you're final step is to embroider all of the "seeds" onto it with the black yarn!
